Empowering Futures, Honoring Legacy
What is the Lemmon-Aid Memorial Scholarship?
The Lemmon‑Aid Memorial Scholarship was created in loving memory of Shannon Lemmon—Junior League of the Golden Isles member, dedicated educator, and cherished high school history teacher. Shannon devoted her life to empowering young people, inspiring them to lead, serve, and create meaningful change in their communities.
This scholarship honors high school seniors in the Golden Isles who embody that same spirit of service. It recognizes students who have made a positive impact through volunteerism and community involvement, regardless of academic standing or athletic achievement.
The Lemmon‑Aid Memorial Scholarship supports a wide range of post‑graduation paths, including trade schools, technical programs, military service, and four‑year colleges. Its purpose is simple: to uplift local students who are shaping their community for the better—just as Shannon did every day.
